Stockholms Auktionsverk presents The Fine Watches Sale – the largest premium timepieces sale in the auction house’s more than 350-year history. The live auction features over 160 exclusive collector’s watches from leading manufacturers such as Patek Philippe, Breguet, Panerai, Rolex, Omega, Audemars Piguet, Jaeger-LeCoultre, Piaget, and Cartier – as well as TAG Heuer’s unique gold tribute to racing legend Ronnie “Superswede” Peterson.

One of the highlights of the sale is a Heuer Carrera Homage to Mr. Ronnie “Superswede” Peterson in 18K gold – created by TAG Heuer as a unique one-of-a-kind piece to honor Sweden’s greatest racing star ahead of the 40th anniversary of his tragic passing in 1978. Estimate: SEK 800,000–1,000,000.

“This is without doubt the most comprehensive exclusive timepieces auction we have ever organized. The breadth, quality, and provenance of the items place the sale at an international level and reflect the growing interest in sophisticated watches – both from established collectors and a new generation of enthusiasts,” says Tony Frank, watch specialist at Stockholms Auktionsverk.

One of the auction’s absolute highlights is a unique Heuer Carrera Homage to Mr. Ronnie “Superswede” Peterson in 18K gold – created by TAG Heuer as a one-of-a-kind piece to honor Sweden’s greatest racing star, marking the 40th anniversary of his tragic passing in 1978.

Estimate: SEK 800,000 – 1,000,000.

“It is rare for a watch to carry such a powerful story. That a Swiss luxury manufacturer has created a unique model dedicated to a Swedish icon makes this piece both a symbol and an exceptional collector’s item,” says Tony Frank.

Other highlights include the Patek Philippe Grand Complications Perpetual Calendar, the Panerai Radiomir Tourbillon GMT in platinum from a limited edition of just 75 pieces, the Breguet Classique Perpetual Calendar, as well as the Rolex Submariner “Sultan Dial” set with diamonds and sapphires.

The Fine Watches Sale exhibition opens on May 8 at Nybrogatan 32 in Stockholm and runs until the auction on May 22.
