New managed service provides transparency into the AI landscape and helps companies centrally manage AI, monitor risks and regulatory requirements, and highlight business benefits.

Aachen, Germany – agineo, part of the Materna Group, today launched AI Control Tower as a Service. The technology, built on the ServiceNow Super Intelligence Control Tower (SI Control Tower), enables the centralized tracking of various AI assets and supports governance, risk, and compliance management throughout the entire AI lifecycle. With agineo’s managed services, processes, roles, and operating model, companies do not have to build and operate the necessary governance structures on their own.

The growing AI landscape presents companies with a fundamental challenge: it is not only difficult but impossible to evaluate and manage what is not known or tracked. You cannot manage what you cannot see. The SI Control Tower as a Service provides a central technological foundation for this and brings together three perspectives:

  • Ensuring transparency: Tracks AI systems, models, datasets, and prompts through a central AI asset inventory, providing an overview of the existing AI landscape.
  • Managing risks and compliance: Integrates governance and risk management throughout the entire AI lifecycle, from adoption and evaluation to ongoing operations and monitoring.
  • Demonstrating value: Provides companies with the foundation to evaluate the risks,  regulatory requirements, and business benefits of their AI initiatives.

The EU AI Act makes action more urgent

A lack of control over AI is not just a compliance risk. With the EU AI Act, regulatory requirements for companies are increasing, and with them, the pressure to track and manage AI deployments transparently. But the consequences of uncontrolled AI use extend even further: security and data protection risks, as well as economic and reputational damage, can also arise.

This makes a centralized view of a company’s own AI landscape even more important. Only when companies know which systems are in use, where they are being used, and who is responsible can they systematically assess risks and address regulatory requirements in a transparent manner.

“For companies, AI governance must not become yet another major project that drags on for months. It is crucial to quickly establish a solid foundation to meet regulatory requirements while continuing to develop AI safely. This is exactly where our AI Control Tower as a Service comes in,” says Philipp Kleinmanns, CEO of agineo.

From getting started to managed services

With the AI Control Tower as a Service, agineo takes a standardized managed-service approach. To achieve this, the company combines the technological foundation of ServiceNow’s AI governance solutions with services, processes, roles, and a suitable operating model. This provides companies with a one-stop solution for the technological and organizational foundation of AI governance, allowing them to tailor the scope of support to their own capabilities and requirements.

Three service tiers - Essential, Advanced, and Pro - are available for this purpose. While Essential provides a quick start and addresses the basic requirements of the EU AI Act, Advanced expands the offering to include additional requirements and support services. With Pro, agineo takes on governance and compliance tasks on a larger scale.

agineo prioritizes speed from the very beginning. Onboarding can be completed in about a week. This provides companies with a foundation for their AI governance in a short time, which they can then develop further step by step.

Beyond compliance

The AI Control Tower as a Service goes beyond simply meeting regulatory requirements. In the long term, it is intended to serve as a central management platform for the responsible use of AI. The AI Control Tower as a Service also focuses on the costs, benefits, and value contributions of the AI being used.

“As AI assets across an organisation rapidly grow in volume and complexity, having a clear governance structure is foundational to any AI strategy. ServiceNow’s Super Intelligence Control Tower and agineo’s specialized managed service offering combine enterprise context and control with comprehensive service expertise. This provides companies with an approach that enables them to implement AI governance across all AI in their business more quickly and easily in practice,” says Cathy Mauzaize, Executive Vice President and President of EMEA at ServiceNow.

Practical experience from one's own company

The Materna Group is the first customer for the new offering. This means that insights gained from its own use of the service are directly incorporated into its further development. In addition, agineo brings expertise from custom AI governance and compliance projects, which is integrated into this standardized and scalable service.

The AI Governance Readiness Check serves as a starting point, allowing companies to assess their current situation.  agineo also offers a customized initial consultation and further information about the AI Control Tower as a Service.

Fiscal strength doesn't guarantee public goods delivery, US study finds21.10.2026 09:28:38 CEST | Press Release

New York/DNA - A newly released study of US state government performance found strong partisan and regional patterns within three pillars of governance: democratic accountability, state capacity and public goods provision. Yet, the US states’ outcomes differ in important ways from international comparisons, as the three governance dimensions show limited correlation, the researchers found. The report, “The Governance Performance of the Fifty States: The U.S. Berggruen Governance Index”, applies the research team’s “governance triangle” from past global country rankings to the 50 US states. The report has now been presented to the public at Columbia University in New York. “Unlike in the Berggruen Governance Index’s cross-national comparisons, where the three dimensions are broadly correlated, in the 50 U.S. states they often run counter to each other,” the authors conclude. “This may seem counterintuitive, as one might expect a well-governed state to finish high on all three and a poor

Elections will determine whether Israel remains the Middle East’s only democracy, new report says16.10.2026 12:00:50 CEST | Press Release

Los Angeles/DNA - For the first time since the Hamas attacks of three years ago, Israel is set to go to the polls on October 27 to elect the members of the 26th Knesset. In 2023 the country was in the top group of ‘consolidated democratic states’, according to the 2026 Berggruen Governance Index (BGI), just as it had been in 2000. However, according to a new report from governance experts, the wars unleashed on multiple fronts in rapid succession following the Hamas attacks launched from Gaza have changed Israel politically, economically, and socially. The report ‘Israeli Governance Performance: The 2026 Elections, Democracy and Future Scenarios’ was produced by researchers at the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA), the Los Angeles-based Berggruen Institute, and Berlin’s Hertie School. The ongoing election campaign, which never stopped despite the longest war in Israel’s history, is about to conclude with voting at the ballot box, in what the entire population is experiencing
