The international live auction The Fine Watches Sale features close to 130 fine timepieces from leading watchmakers including Audemars Piguet, Breguet, Cartier, Jaeger-LeCoultre, Omega, Patek Philippe and Rolex. One of the auction’s most striking highlights is a rare white gold Rolex Daytona with a meteorite dial – crafted from a fragment of a celestial body that travelled through space for billions of years before reaching Earth.

This autumn’s edition of The Fine Watches Sale features several models with fascinating history. From left: Patek Philippe “Gradue Pour 15 Pulsations”, Chopard “Elton John” Mark II in rose gold, and Breguet Classique Perpetual Calendar.

The spring edition of The Fine Watches Sale became the largest watch auction in the history of Stockholms Auktionsverk, achieving strong prices and attracting considerable attention with several notable records. Among the highlights was a Patek Philippe Grand Complications Perpetual Calendar, which sold for SEK 3,250,000 – the highest price achieved for a wristwatch at auction in Sweden so far in 2026, and the highest price ever paid for a Patek Philippe at auction in Sweden.

The autumn edition features several models with distinguished histories. The white gold Rolex Daytona with a meteorite dial is among the rarest and most sought-after versions produced by the Swiss manufacturer. Meteorite material bears traces of the early history of our solar system and has travelled through space for billions of years. The dials are made by cutting the exceptionally hard meteorite into extremely thin slices using diamond-coated tools. As the patterns in the material are entirely natural, each dial has a unique appearance.

The Chopard “Elton John” Mark II in rose gold, featured in The Fine Watches Sale, combines fine watchmaking with popular cultural history. The model was born out of the friendship between Elton John and Chopard’s Artistic Director, Caroline Scheufele. Their collaboration also took on a charitable dimension through the Elton John AIDS Foundation and its work in the fight against HIV and AIDS.

Other highlights of the auction include a Patek Philippe featuring the rare and elegant “Gradué Pour 15 Pulsations” pulsometer scale, a Breguet Classique Perpetual Calendar and a Jaeger-LeCoultre Grande Reverso Duodate in rose gold.

“For the international collectors’ market, it is often the details that make all the difference – an unusual dial, a sophisticated complication or a model with a special story to tell. The Fine Watches Sale brings together several timepieces with these qualities, alongside a broad selection of sought-after models from the leading manufacturers. I am delighted to present a selection that will appeal both to established collectors and to those looking for something out of the ordinary,” says Tony Frank, watch specialist at Stockholms Auktionsverk.

The exhibition runs from 6–16 November, followed by a live auction on 19 November. The sale can be experienced at Stockholms Auktionsverk, Nybrogatan 32 in Stockholm, or online.
